French financial services provider Societe Generale has promoted its CFO Frederic Oudea to the post of deputy CEO.
The bank said that, on the proposal of Daniel Bouton, chairman and CEO, the board of directors of Societe Generale Group, which met on March 14, 2008, named Mr Oudea deputy CEO of the group, alongside Philippe Citerne and Didier Alix.
Mr Oudea joined Societe Generale in 1995 and in 1996 he was appointed deputy head then head of the bank’s corporate banking arm in London. In 1998, he became head of global supervisory and development of the equities division. In May 2002, he was named deputy CFO of Societe Generale Group. He became CFO of the group in January 2003.
