Migros Bank to implement KOBIL’s AST to mitigate e-banking challenges

Swiss lender Migros Bank will deploy Germany based KOBIL’s modular Application Security Technology (AST), with an aim to deal with e-banking threats.

Suitable for online banking, including mobile payment, secure messaging, and mobile-commerce services, the new technology is compatible with all platforms and types of devices, claims the solution provider.

The bank said that introduction of smartphones and tablet PC in online banking has forced the company to implement a secure and user-friendly authentication solution for all devices.

Migros Bank corporate management member Stephan Wick said, "It was crucial for Migros Bank that, with KOBIL’s AST, a solution would be available that would enable the customer to choose among all currently known types of devices, such as PC, notebook, tablet PC and smartphone."

KOBIL’s mID makes it possible to work with both a digital identity and novel technology on all platforms and all types of devices.

Established in 1986, KOBIL is an IT-security manufacturer providing technologies to ensure secure data, protected communication and safe authentication on every computer globally.
