ME Bank launches new workplace banking kiosk at Telstra contact centre

ME Bank, a 100% Australian owned, APRA regulated lender, has introduced a workplace banking kiosk at Telstra’s Melbourne contact centre, allowing users to talk to the bank's call centre staff using video conferencing services.

Equipped with a video phone to contact ME Bank’s call centre, a private office space for meetings with a banker, an ATM, and access to Internet banking, the workplace banking kiosk can be set up in a five metre-square space.

ME Bank sales group executive Ian Hendey was quoted by ARNnet as saying, "The Kiosks combine face-to-face and digital banking and address the difficulty many people have finding time to go to their bank."

The bank had partnered with Telstra for the development of videoconferencing technology for the kiosks and is planning to launch six such more kiosks this year, which can be set up easily on an employer’s worksite.

ME Bank is the only bank in the country that is fully owned by Australia’s industry super funds.
