KeyBank Names New Head Of Business Banking Segment

US-based KeyBank has named Maria Coyne as head of national business banking segment, which provides financial services to companies with annual revenues up to $10m, SBA loans and services specifically for women-owned businesses, through Key4Women, across Key's 14-state footprint.

Ms Coyne has most recently served as executive vice president of Key4Women and director of client experience for KeyBank National Association, as well as the chief administrative officer for Key Community Banking. Prior to those positions, she was responsible for the national sales efforts and administration of Key’s Small Business Administration (SBA) program and specialty segment initiatives.

Ms Coyne joined KeyBank as a senior vice president in the strategic planning group in 2001. Previously, she was a small business strategist with the Greater Cleveland Growth Association and spent more than 10 years with Bank One, serving in various management capacities before becoming director of marketing.

Ms Coyne was also founder of Key4Women, the bank’s women-owned business initiative.

Beth Mooney, vice chair of KeyCorp, said: “Maria has the leadership abilities, expertise and understanding of business banking necessary to help us fully capture the potential of the small business market. We are confident that, in this new position, she will help position Key for long-term success.”
