Jupiter Asset Management has won a mandate from Russell Investments to manage a segregated portfolio of UK equities.
The mandate will be managed as a ‘best ideas’ portfolio, similar in composition to the Jupiter UK Alpha Fund unit trust, managed by Ben Whitmore.
As with the unit trust, this new mandate will hold a basket of stocks that comprise the ‘best ideas’ of Jupiter’s UK equity team, including Edward Bonham Carter, Philip Gibbs, Ian McVeigh and Anthony Nutt.
Charlie Crole, director of institutional client operations at Jupiter, said: Our ‘best ideas’ strategy is proving very successful, with the Jupiter UK Alpha Fund producing strong relative returns. We are delighted that the fund’s performance has attracted the attention of such a well-respected multi-manager as Russell Investments.
