HSBC signs up consultancy to provide back office channel support

Global bank HSBC has contracted customer management solutions provider Focus to introduce a multi-channel sales support system to support its retirement and investment operations.

This initial contract, worth GBP850,000, which relates to the provision of consulting and development services, will be mainly implemented in the first half of fiscal 2007.

This project will involve the development of a multi-channel sales support system to support HSBC’s multi-tie distribution channel for life, pensions and investment products and will be launched in 2007.

Helen Roberts, business program manager at HSBC, commented; Focus has successfully demonstrated its knowledge and ability to deliver multi-channel point of sale solutions into the highly regulated financial services market place and we are confident that the company will provide an effective solution for our financial planning managers in 2007.
