Franklin Templeton Investments (Asia) has awarded a mandate to Citi to offer trustee, custody and transfer agent services in support of the launch of its first A-Share Unit Trust, Templeton China Opportunities Fund in Hong Kong.
Citi has already been offering fund services for Franklin Templeton’s MPF funds leveraging on its product capabilities, global network and knowledge on QFII.
Delivered through Citi OpenInvestor, its full suite of investment service services allows managers to concentrate on their core activities of managing assets and serving their clients.
It offers institutional, alternative and wealth managers with middle-office, fund services, custody, and investing and financing services focused on their specific challenges and customized to their individual needs.
Trading as a division of Citi’s Institutional Clients Group, Citi Transaction Services offers integrated cash management, trade, and securities and fund services to multinational corporations, financial institutions and public sector organizations globally.
As of the third quarter of 2012, it held on average $415bn in liability balances and $12.8 trillion in assets under custody.
