FBC Bank presents new prepaid card for Zimbabwean ACCA members

Commercial lender FBC Bank in association with MasterCard has decided to launch a new prepaid card for the members of the Zimbabwean Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).

The new card, which enables cashless payments, will allow ACCA members to carry out transactions safely and easily, claims the bank.

FBC Bank retail banking and e-commerce executive director Agrippa GR Mugwagwa said, "The FBC-ACCA MasterCard Prepaid card will allow us the opportunity to positively impact the lives of ACCA members by introducing a payment solution specifically designed to fulfil their needs."

"Applicants need only walk into any of our branches with their National ID and make a minimum deposit of $20 to get started," Mugwagwa added.

Without holding a bank account with the lender, the members can pay tuition and exam fees, monitor their balances, track spending and download statements through its online portal.

The card will also be used at any of the 33 million global merchants and 1.3 million ATMs that accept MasterCard across the globe.

Established in 1997, FBC Bank delivers various services including commercial banking, corporate banking, treasury and investment banking.

MasterCard is a global payments processing network provider that connects consumers, financial institutions, merchants, governments and businesses in over 210 countries and territories.
