Eurex receives South Korean FSC’s approval to offer direct market access

Derivatives exchange Eurex has received approval from the South Korean Financial Services Commission (FSC) to provide full spectrum of products in the country, making it possible to participate in an additional Asian market.

The international derivatives marketplace has already co-operative relationship with the Korea Exchange (KRX), the Eurex/KRX Link.

The no objection for a direct membership from South Korean FSC will further boost the Eurex/KRX collaboration and reinforce the ties between Korean and German financial markets.

Eurex executive board member Michael Peters said, "This is an exciting opportunity to admit additional customers to our robust and reliable network and offer them direct access to our diverse, highly liquid futures and options product suite."

South Korean financial organizations will be now able to access the Eurex Exchange network and its Exchange products such as benchmark index futures based on indices like EURO STOXX 50, DAX and SMI, among others.

Eurex Group manages six companies in the derivatives business with representative offices throughout the globe.
