US-based Eris Exchange has signed an agreement to distribute market data from its SwapBook electronic trading platform through the CME Market Data Platform from March 2012.
The deal covers interest rate swap futures contract.
Eris Exchange COO Michael Riddle said that collaborating with CME Group allows them to extend their reach to swap end-users demanding real-time, intraday swap market price information.
CME Group managing director of information products management Brian McElligott said that distributing Eris Exchange data through the CME Market Data Platform allows their extensive network of trading firms and market data distributors to access their data through familiar protocols and formats using existing telecommunications connections.
The CME Market Data Platform serves 630 licensed market data distributors through more than 300 direct connections.
Eris Exchange has traded more than $34bn in notional value of Eris Interest Rate Swap Futures since its launch and its contracts are cleared by CME Clearing.
