FX Fund combines six diversified FX strategies and yields attractive risks/returns and low correlations to other asset classes
Credit Suisse has launched a UCITS III-compliant FX Fund, which combines six diversified FX strategies and yields attractive risks/returns and low correlations to other asset classes.
Currently, Credit Suisse provides institutional investors, family offices, HNWI and private clients with the benefits, convenience and accessibility of a EURO-dominated, UCITS III fund structure. The UCITS III FX Factor Fund uses systematic, rules-based strategies in a risk balanced process. The fund aims to track the performance of the Credit Suisse FX Factor Index which was launched in April 2009.
The FX Factor Index is based on six strategies, which include Carry, Momentum, Valuation, Growth, Terms of Trade and Emerging Markets. Through the index, investors gain access to a systematic, rules-based and diversified portfolio of multiple macroeconomic and market-driven foreign exchange strategies, delivering returns across a wide range of market environments. The index uses 18 currencies to employ its strategies, in addition to the Euro, nine major currencies and eight emerging markets currencies.
Simon Hards, managing director and head of FX Options at Credit Suisse, said: “We believe investors want to diversify their exposure and reduce risk through systematic, rules-based strategies. The launch of this fund demonstrates the momentum Credit Suisse has shown in developing superior products with diversified and controlled returns from FX markets.”
Credit Suisse provides structuring, pricing and trading of structured products across various asset classes including fund-linked products, hedge funds, private equity and emerging markets. In addition to its FX Factor Fund, the Bank offers the following UCITS-III compliant funds: Global Carry Selector, Market Neutral, CS MOVERS and Fortinbras.
