Credit Suisse has hired Vedika Bhandarkar as managing director, vice chairman and head of the investment banking department and global markets solutions group. The bank has also appointed Sandeep Pangal as managing director and senior banker in investment banking coverage, in India. Ms Bhandarkar and Mr Pangal will be based in Mumbai.
Ms Bhandarkar will be responsible for the growth of investment banking franchise in India, capitalizing on the momentum achieved in the last 18 months. He will work closely with Credit Suisse’ wealth management and asset management leadership in India to deliver the benefits of credit suisse’ integrated banking model to Indian clients.
Ms Bhandarkar and Mr Bhandarkar join from JPMorgan India, where Ms Bhandarkar has been a managing director and head of investment banking since 2004. Mr Pangal has been with JP Morgan since 1999 and was most recently a managing director responsible for the marketing and execution of all investment banking products.
Mr Pangal has had coverage responsibility across several sectors for many of India’s financial groups including Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group, Essar Group, JSW Group and Aditya Birla Group.
