Credit Suisse names new head of Southeast Asia private banking business

Swiss multinational financial services company Credit Suisse has appointed Claudio de Sanctis as its managing director and market area head, Southeast Asia for private banking Asia Pacific, effective from 1 April 2013.

Based in Singapore, de Sanctis will report to Francesco de Ferrari, head of private banking Asia Pacific.

In his new role, de Sanctis will be accountable to oversee private banking business in Southeast Asia, working closely with the concerned market leaders in the region.

Apart from driving profitable business growth and advance market share, he will also concentrate on partnering opportunities across Credit Suisse’s integrated bank to capitalize on synergies and business opportunities in the region.

Most recently, he was working as managing director and market head of Iberia and Nordics at UBS Wealth Management Europe.

Before UBS, he served as head of Key Clients Unit Europe at private banking in Barclays focusing on UHNW clients and had also worked at Merrill Lynch Private Wealth Management EMEA region.

Credit Suisse offers specialist advisory services, comprehensive solutions and innovative products to companies, institutional clients and high net worth private clients globally and also to retail clients in Switzerland.
