The Ignis International Hexam Global Emerging Markets, Emerging Europe funds & The Cartesian UK Equity 130/30 Fund
Cofunds, a UK-based independent financial planning platform, has announced that it is extending the range of offshore funds available to intermediaries and their investors with the addition of two funds from emerging markets boutique Hexam Capital.
The Ignis International Hexam Global Emerging Markets and Emerging Europe funds are run in a high conviction style with the managers taking a pragmatic approach to stock selection, blending top-down and bottom-up analysis into their growth, liquidity, currency, management and valuation research structure, said Cofunds.
The Dublin-domiciled Ignis Hexam Global Emerging Markets Fund is managed by Bryan Collings. A UK-domiciled mirror fund is due to be made available to UK retail investors in the first quarter of 2009.
Russell Lancaster, director of fund manager relations at Cofunds, said: As a leading financial planning platform we are committed to ensuring advisers and their clients have access to the widest range of funds possible. We are seeing growing demand from advisers for interesting and innovative investment solutions and these additions from emerging markets specialist Hexam are part of an ongoing initiative designed to meet that demand.
Cofunds has expanded its short extension range with a 130/30 fund from Edinburgh-based UK equities boutique Cartesian Capital.
The Cartesian UK Equity 130/30 Fund is managed by Jeremy Hall. The fund builds on Cartesian’s extensive long and short stock-picking pedigree, said Cofunds.
Russell Lancaster, director of fund manager relations at Cofunds, said: Extending the breadth of our already impressive range of funds on platform with the addition of the 130/30 fund from Cartesian is one of many steps we are taking to ensure advisers have access to all the top fund managers and fund types.
Through our proven investment process and long-term, pragmatic approach we believe we can offer investors strong performance in all market conditions. Cofunds’s size and reach affords us a great opportunity to get in front of a whole new tranche of advisers and we believe the 130/30 fund will appeal to those seeking superior, long-term returns.
