Citibank (China) has opened a new sub-branch in Shanghai, located in Jing'an district, continuing its network expansion program around China.
The sub-branch, which is the latest Citibank smart banking outlet, is the bank’s 40th consumer outlet in China and extends its presence in Shanghai to 11 consumer outlets covering key districts around the city.
Citibank said the Jing’an sub-branch, which offers both Citibank and Citigold services, is designed to help redefine the service experience of retail customers in China, using technology to make banking more convenient and flexible.
According to Citibank, customers can also conduct their banking at their convenience through the multiple electronic channels, such as online banking, mobile banking, 24×7 phone banking and fax banking.
The outlet also features a Citigold Service Center, designed to provide leading wealth-management services.
Citibank China country business manager Simon Chow said Citibank’s year of expansion in China continues with this consumer outlet in Shanghai, Citibank’s China headquarters and a city in which they first opened for business in 1902.
