Citibank India has unveiled a fully integrated and certified mobile payment platform in India and across it global banking network.
Developed by the lender’s partner Ezetap Mobile Solutions, the new system will enable over 320 million cardholders in India to execute payments through their debit and credit cards.
Compliant with global security standards including the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCIDSS) and the Payment Application Data Security Standard (PADSS), the platform includes a lightweight device that can be plugged into smart phones and tablets.
The secured paperless payment alternative also offers its card members instant redemption of reward points, accelerated rewards as well as the ability to select the popular EMI payment option.
In order to offer an integrated, secured and efficient receivables payment system, the partner merchants will be provided with real time information during the payment and collection process.
Using the latest payment service, Citibank card holders can buy goods and services, pay insurance premiums, mobile phone bills, recharge mobile phones or buy movie, theatre and event tickets.
Citi India manages 42 branches across 30 cities and more than 700 ATMs, and provides consumer banking and credit, corporate and investment banking, securities brokerage, transaction services and wealth management services.
