Citi names new head of North America Treasury and Trade Solutions

Citi has selected Andrew Gelb as the new Head of North America Treasury and Trade Solutions, succeeding Amol Gupte, who has been named Asia Pacific Region head for Citi Transaction Services.

Before being promoted to the new role, Andrew has served in Citi’s transaction banking business for almost 15 years in locations including London, New York and Tokyo.

Most recently, he was spearheading as the regional head of Citi’s Securities and Fund Services (SFS) business for Europe, Middle East and Africa, where he executed a strategy to develop the franchise across the EMEA region.

Andrew was also the global head of SFS Intermediary Services (Direct Custody & Clearing) in New York, a direct custody business with more than 50 country network.

He also served as the head of strategy and planning for transaction services and worked in leading positions at Citigroup Japan, including cash management head, and has also worked in other locations across Citi’s network.

Citi Transaction Services public sector and marketing North America region head and global head of banks Julie Monaco said, "Andrew’s international background and broad experience across the transaction banking business will be great assets as we continue to build on our reputation for product innovation and craft targeted solutions for our corporate, institutional and public sector clients."
