Global financial organization Citi has appointed Luigi de Vecchi as the new chairman of Continental Europe for corporate and investment banking.
Based in Italy, he will help the bank to reinforce its presence in the region.
Citi corporate and investment banking global head Raymond McGuire said Continental Europe remains one of the most growth oriented business area for the bank and with this appointment, the lender aims to further boost its presence in the region.
Prior to Citi, Vecchi worked as global co-head of investment banking at Credit Suisse, for three years and also held various senior positions at Credit Suisse, Goldman Sachs and Kleinwort Benson in Europe, the USA and Brazil.
Operating in more than 160 nations and jurisdictions, Citi serves nearly 200 million customer accounts and offers consumer banking and credit, corporate and investment banking, securities brokerage, transaction services and wealth management.
