Chicago Stock Exchange (CHX) has chosen Informatica Ultra Messaging as its enterprise messaging backbone.
According to Informatica, the implementation of the new technology results in more effective trading services for CHX as it can process equity orders and market data feeds with sub-millisecond response times, enabling unimpeded information flows and near instantaneous order execution.
The platform also allows the stock exchange to decrease the operational costs considerably, while removing single points of failure for more reliable service delivery.
The exchange was using Transmission Control Protocol messaging platform developed internally, prior to deploying Informatica messaging technology.
However, the stock exchange required more flexibility to use the proper network transport protocol for the application and to help address ever escalating performance requirements. Besides, it also required to free up internal development resources and standardize on a platform to meet next-generation needs.
