Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BofA Merrill Lynch) has appointed Peter Johnson as managing director and head of global futures and OTC clearing.
Johnson, who is expected to join the company in October 2011, will assume global responsibility for all futures, options and OTC derivatives clearing.
Based in Chicago, he will report to Denis Manelski, head of global short rates trading and Stu Hendel, head of global prime brokerage.
Prior to BofA Merrill Lynch, Johnson held a variety of senior leadership roles at JP Morgan for the last 19 years, including his most recent post as head of global futures, options and OTC clearing.
Previously, Johnson served as North American head of futures and options, and head of JP Morgan’s Chicago futures office.
