BNY Mellon Appoints New President, CEO Of Japanese Trust Bank Subsidiary

BNY Mellon has appointed Dominick Falco as president and CEO of its Japanese Trust Bank subsidiary. He will report to James Maitland, head of the company's international corporate trust business based in London.

Mr Falco has over 20 years experience in the securities industry, 17 of which have been while working in Asia. His primary focus will be on deepening BNY Mellon’s range of corporate trust services available to Japanese institutions. BNY Mellon currently provides trust and asset securitization services for Japanese corporate clients, including asset trustee, cash management and fiscal agency services.

Mr Falco began his career at Morgan Stanley in New York and established the non-Japan Asia securities lending desk in Hong Kong in 1990, ultimately heading the Japan and non-Japan Asia desks. He subsequently held similar positions at Macquarie Bank and NatWest Markets, focusing on equity finance. He joined BNY Mellon in 2007.

Mr Maitland said: “Japan continues to be an important market for BNY Mellon. We see significant opportunity to deliver more value to our clients by extending our global breadth of debt capital market competencies and expertise more comprehensively in Japan.

“In Dominick, we have a very strong business leader with outstanding Japanese business credentials whose strategic insights will enhance our ability to anticipate these market opportunities and create value for our Japanese clients both domestically and overseas.”
