BNCCORP appoints new board member

BNCCORP, a provider of community banking and wealth management services, has appointed Michael O'Rourke to its board of directors. Mr O'Rourke's term will expire at the 2009 annual meeting of stockholders.

Mr O’Rourke has held several industry positions, including vice president and general counsel of First Bank System, where he also served as a board member of First Bank National Association and several affiliate banks.

Mr O’Rourke is a former Minnesota special assistant attorney general and served as a Minnesota district court judge from 1979 to 1982. He is also a former member of the adjunct faculty of the University of Minnesota Law School.

Mark Sheffert, chairman of the board of directors, said: Michael O’Rourke has had a distinguished career as a teacher, attorney, judge, business person, and published author. He has also been an active board member of several community and non-profit groups.
