BNC Bancorp (BNCN) has appointed Richard Callicutt II as its president and chief executive officer (CEO), effective from 11 June 2013.

Prior to accepting the current role, Callicutt worked as executive vice president and chief operating officer of BNC and its banking subsidiary since inception and as president of the bank for the last three years.

Apart from this, Callicutt also serves on the board of directors of both BNC and the bank.

Montgomery will step down from his post, but will remain on the board of directors of BNC and the bank as vice-chairman and to serve as a consultant to both organizations.

David Spencer has been appointed as senior executive vice president and chief financial officer and Ronald Gorczynski will assume the title of executive vice president and chief accounting officer of both BNC and the bank, effective from 1 July 2013.

Operating as a commercial lender, Bank of North Carolina has nearly $3.08bn in asset and delivers banking and financial services to individuals and businesses through its 35 banking branches in North and South Carolina.
