BBVA has appointed Alma Miller as its new marketing director for Spain and Portugal, a position within the innovation and business development department headed by Javier Bernal.
The appointment of Ms Miller, who for the past six years has been director of brand and marketing communications at Vodafone Espana, strengthens BBVA’s team by bringing onboard an executive with broad experience in the mass consumer product industry to develop new marketing formulas and enhance sales efforts across its different customer segments.
Among her responsibilities will be to define, design and implement BBVA’s marketing strategy for the Spain and Portugal division through its different marketing channels. She will work in conjunction with the managers of BBVA’s business segments in developing a range of products and services for customers.
Ms Miller will analyze the market situation and its potential performance, finding and developing new business opportunities for the group. At the same time, her mandate calls for her to define, develop and implement management indicators and marketing and advertising tools.
