Bank of America appoints head of Taiwan office

Bank of America has appointed Eric Liu as head of its Taiwan office. Mr Liu will report to country executive for greater China, Frederick Chin.

Mr Liu has been tasked with expanding the bank’s local and multinational corporate banking business in Taiwan, which includes helping the bank’s local clients access the breadth of the bank’s global product offerings.

Before his current appointment, Mr Liu was a senior banker in the bank’s global corporate and investment banking group in Bejiing. Prior to that, he served as Taiwan portfolio manager and was responsible for the management of a $2 billion credit portfolio.

Mr Chin said: Eric brings with him a strong appreciation of the needs of our clients. Coupled with his international experience and understanding of the bank’s global capabilities, I am confident that our business is well-positioned for further growth.
