Banco Cruzeiro do Sul, a private-sector multiple bank, has reported that its gross income for the third quarter of 2007 from financial intermediation was BRL191.3 million, 97.6% higher compared to the same period last year.
In the third quarter of 2007, net income stood at BRL64.9 million, forecasting an average annualized return on average equity (ROAE) of 26.6%, without considering the IPO non-recurring expense occurred in the second quarter of 2007.
The loan portfolio, including, accounts receivable and subordinated shares in FIDCs contained in the securities balance sheet line, totaled BRL2.81 billion, on September 30 2007, an increase of 214.4% compared to BRL893 million in the same period of 2006.
Paycheck-deductible personal loans recorded origination of BRL866.2 million in the third quarter of 2007, and monthly average of BRL288.7 million, expanding by 97% against the BRL439.6 million in the third quarter of 2006.
The paycheck-deductible credit card reached 579,928 cards issued in the third quarter of 2007, up 123.5% compared to 259,458 cards in the corresponding period of the prior year. In September 2007, the volume financed was BRL113.2 million.
