Alliance Bankshares Corporation, a US-based bank holding firm, has hired Jean Houpert as its senior vice president, interim CFO and for its banking subsidiary, Alliance Bank Corporation.
Houpert, who joined the bank in October 2008 as vice president, director of accounting, was responsible for regulatory reporting and filings, accounting functions, and deposit operations. She was promoted to senior vice president in December 2009.
In her expanded role as interim CFO, Houpert will also be responsible for the bank’s investment portfolio, ALCO management, and compliance.
Alliance Bankshares president and CEO William Doyle said her previous background in public accounting and banking serves her well in this expanded role within the executive management of the Company.
"Over the past few months, Jean has played an integral role in the strategic initiative which resulted in the recently announced merger agreement with Eagle Bancorp," Doyle added.
Alliance Bankshares conducts its primary operations through its subsidiaries. Its banking subsidiary, Alliance Bank Corporation is a state-chartered in Virginia and is a member of the Federal Reserve System. In addition to Alliance Bank, Bankshares has another subsidiary Alliance Virginia Capital Trust I.
